Handcrafted Jewelry Designer Based in SF
At the bench
My story with jewelry started early.
I grew up in a family where metal and fire
were part of everyday life —
I’m the second generation at the bench.
One of my earliest memories is the scent
of my father’s workshop —
a mix of wax, metal, and warmth.
I never planned to become a jeweler.
It just happened — slowly, quietly, and then
there was no way back.
Glossy luxury never called to me.
I never wanted a brand built on a name,
where people buy letters more than design.
What I wanted was to make things that felt alive —
that carried warmth, honesty, a bit of soul.
Most of my work starts without a sketch.
I just take the wax and begin.
Sometimes it’s quick, sometimes slow —
but at some point, the form starts to speak back.
I can’t really explain it.
It’s a kind of quiet magic.
It so happened that I’ve always
worked as self-employed —
free to follow my own rhythm.
That freedom has never been a burden,
apart from the financial side, of course.
I don’t depend on trends and don’t try
to predict the market.
I simply make what feels true —
and I’ve been happy to discover that it resonates
with others too.
Once, reading to my children,
I came across a line that stayed with me:
inspiration can’t be chased —
you just have to be in the right place for it to find you.
That’s what I try to do —
to keep standing in that place.
